If you really want to make your mark in a rapidly growing business that is committed to improving the lives of children and young people, we have the role for you!

We now have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring and understanding Nurture Teacher to join our close-knit team at Bramfield House School in Suffolk.

About the School

Bramfield House School is no ordinary school; we are a very special organisation built on relationships and a common desire to help the individual.  We are an independent residential special educational needs school for boys aged 7 – 16 years who have social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours. Our boys are the centre of our focus and we do anything to help them succeed. The school is oversubscribed and is currently undergoing an ambitious expansion plan.

The School has an established and innovative multidisciplinary team, extensive site and excellent facilities to support both learning and extra-curricular activities; we are in a great position to provide our young people with the best education and care possible. The school is set in beautiful grounds just miles from the Suffolk coast and this outdoors approach is key to our success.

For children and young people with complex, challenging needs, the level of care and education must go above and beyond. That’s what drives us, here at Bramfield house school.

About the Group

We are part of the Acorn Care and Education Group and can promise you plenty of challenges and a rich variety of opportunities to develop your career.

Acorn Care and Education provide education and care across 20 schools and 19 residential care homes nationally. Our vision is to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world. Every day we improve the lives of thousands of the young people, their families and communities through a relentless focus on caring and learning.

About the Role

As an intervention primary Teacher at Bramfield House School you'll get to deliver the kind of education you always wanted to. You’ll have superb leadership, specialist support and brilliant facilities allowing you to focus on delivering the National Curriculum to a group of primary and secondary aged pupils in a memorable way. Committed to fulfilling the potential of each and every one of our students, no matter what their educational needs, you share our belief that all young people are capable of achieving great things.

You will work with very small groups of young people and individuals to develop their reading writing and literacy skills and to put in place individual plans around each child. You will have the freedom to adapt and be creative and be part of a team which will support you to group and develop.

This is why we’re only interested in hearing from aspirational superb classroom practitioners. Those who take the National Curriculum and bring it alive in a way that’s meaningful and engaging to our students. Ideally you’ll have some experience of special needs, as you’ll need to connect with our students – understanding what makes them unique and working to make a real difference to their social and emotional development. But none of this fazes you, as it’s what you’re passionate about. And why you’ll fit right in.
