Job Title:             Senior Administrator

Hours:                  37 hours (Monday- Friday) / 33 days holiday per annum including bank holidays

Salary:                  Up to £24,000 (depending on experience)

As a Senior Administrator at our well established Bramfield House School, you’ll help make your school run like clockwork. You’ll be in charge of managing the office, ranging from meeting and diary management and providing support to the Headteacher, HR administration and assisting with checking payroll with attendance records.  You’ll be involved in running the reception and responsibility for accurate files. With your efficient, professional approach and ability to set up processes and systems, you’ll keep the cogs of the school turning.

To join us, you’ll need some previous administrative experience and excellent IT skills. You should be used to working on several administration tasks and able to switch between them. Just as important is an approachable, helpful nature. You should be ready to support our team and will build a natural and respectful rapport with our young people.

About the School

Bramfield House School is no ordinary school; we are a very special organisation built on relationships and a common desire to help the individual.  We are an independent residential special educational needs school for boys aged 7 – 16 years who have social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours. Our boys are the centre of our focus and we do anything to help them succeed. The school is oversubscribed and is currently undergoing an ambitious expansion plan.

The School has an established and innovative multidisciplinary team, extensive site and excellent facilities to support both learning and extra-curricular activities; we are in a great position to provide our young people with the best education and care possible. The school is set in beautiful grounds just miles from the Suffolk coast and this outdoors approach is key to our success.

For children with complex, challenging needs, the level of care and education must go above and beyond. That’s what drives us, here at Bramfield House School.

Who we are looking for?

No two days are the same at Bramfield House so we want people who can work at pace to turn ‘can’t do’ into ‘want to’ and are motivated by working in a fast pace environment.  You will be motivated by your belief that every child can achieve and reach their potential.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working with other professionals and building relationships but will also be very organised and have a keen eye for detail, proficient in their use of IT and come with ideas and a desire to improve the school.

Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN environment would be desirable, excellent support skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.
