Our Ambitions
How will we achieve this?
- We will treat each young person as an individual and will develop a learning and care programme tailored to their needs. The young person will contribute to this plan and their needs will be central to it.
- Acorn will ensure that all of those associated with the young person, either in the school (teachers, care staff, therapy staff) or outside school (parents, social workers, foster carers and local authority staff) will work together as a team to help the young person achieve their goals
- We will train and develop our staff to ensure they deliver the highest standards of teaching and care
- Each of our schools retains its own identity, benefitting from the wider expertise and experience of the Acorn Group, to ensure best practice is shared across the schools. Each school is challenged to continuously improve and ensure that the highest quality standards are being met
- We will ensure that the young people in our care are kept safe at all times. All our staff are recruited under the safe recruitment guidelines and they are fully trained in all aspects of safeguarding children. We also apply very rigorous monitoring and reporting procedures to ensure our safeguarding processes are being followed
- We will provide a warm, safe and caring environment and remove barriers to enable children and young people to access learning
